  Gatsby Kick-off Party

When: Saturday April 1, 2017

Time: 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

Where: GCLS Mullica Hill Library

Help us kick-off the NEA Big Read in style with a Gatsby inspired party at the library! Come listen to jazz music performed by the Brian Betz Duo, take a look under the hood of some antique cars, transport yourself into a scene from the book, or experience art created by students from Clearview Regional High School.

Don’t forget to grab your copy of “The Great Gatsby” and help us celebrate the beginning of the NEA Big Read!

 

1920’s Cabaret Performance

When: Sunday April 9, 2017

Time: 2:00 pm

Where: Rowan College at Gloucester County – Fine Arts Center
 

Enjoy music from the 1920’s during a cabaret show performed by the talented stars of the Sketch Club Players, a local theater group located in Woodbury, NJ.  They will transport you back to the jazz era of the Roaring 20’s.

 

Book Discussion with NPR critic, Maureen Corrigan

Listen to acclaimed NPR Fresh Air book critic, Maureen Corrigan, discuss her book, “So We Read On: How The Great Gatsby Came to be and Why it Endures.” Ms. Corrigan is a Georgetown University English professor and Gatsby lover extraordinaire. Her unabashed enthusiasm will inspire us to reexperience the greatness that is Gatsby.
