September 9, 2020 - Update

Effective immediately, GCLS is resuming Notary Service. Please call the library branch in advance of your visit to be sure a notary will be available to assist you. A Mask or face covering is required to meet with the notary, and must be worn properly at all times. Please follow the notary’s instructions and keep at least a 6 foot distance between yourself and the notary. For more information about our Notary Service, see our Notary Policy Page.

All GCLS branch libraries continue to be open to the public with limited access. We are limiting the number of patrons allowed in each location at one time as follows:

Glassboro: 15

Greenwich: 15

Logan: 20

Mullica Hill: 35

Swedesboro: 10

Please consider limiting your time in the library, so other patrons can have a chance to use the library.

We have created Special Hours on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10:00-11:00 AM, for patrons who are immunocompromised or over the age of 65. Other patrons are able to enter the library after 11:00 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Masks or face coverings are required to enter the library, and must be worn properly at all times. Please maintain Social Distancing while in the library and keep at least a 6 foot distance between yourself and other patrons and staff. Tutoring is not permitted in any GCLS branch library due to these social distancing requirements.

Computer use is limited to one hour per day for each patron.

We continue to offer our Contactless Pickup service, and suggest that you make use of this service to help us reduce the number of patrons entering the library. For more information about Contactless Pickup, visit our Contactless Pickup page

All meeting rooms, quiet study rooms, play areas, teen spaces, and makerspaces remain closed to the public. We will not offer in-library programming through the end of September (at least).

All outdoor book drops at all GCLS locations are open to accept returns. We are not able to accept returns inside our libraries at this time. Please do not put donations into outdoor book drops. Your returned items will be placed into quarantine and will still appear as "checked out" on your account. They will be checked in when safety and staffing permits. This will not affect the amount of items you are able to borrow.
