If you would like to check out any of these kits, please note the following information:

Library of Science Kits may be checked out 1 per person for 14 days, with no grace period, nor renewals.

These kits do incur late fines at $1/day, to a max of $7.

Holds can be placed on them, but no transfers, so the patron must go to the owning library to check it out AND to return it.

They must be checked out and returned to the circulation desk of the owning branch.

Please do not use the self check machines or the book return for these kits.

Circulation staff will check the contents both when checking out and checking in.

If items are missing, staff will let the borrower know so that they can be returned. If this cannot be done, the patron may be charged appropriately. The children's librarian and branch manager will determine an appropriate charge on a case by case basis.
